9 MONTHS OLD!

We had a great time at the pool today! Ethan is now 9 months old! This has been a fine tuning month for him, practicing all the skills he picked up last month and making them look easy now. He is trying hard to walk and loves when you hold his hands so he can go everywhere. He often lets go of what is holding him up to clap and wave while he stands alone. He has been on a nice schedule this past month; wakes @ 8:30, eats 1 jar of meat with two tubs of fruit and cereal, lunch at noon a stage 3 jar of food with a stage 2 jar of veggie, nap at 1, awake at 2:30 for snack, a Kashi cereal bar or some baby yogurt, dinner at 5:30, gets ready for bed at 7:30, takes a pumped bottle, and is asleep by 7:45! I love it he is so happy. (he was before, now it just seems easier) He pretty much picked the schedule times, I just made sure to help him get what he was wanting at the same time every day. Sometimes we skip a nap or he sleeps in or gets to bed late but this is pretty much his daily routine! He has shown a big interest in his puppies this month and seems to recognize people well, remembering places we have been and routines during the day. He can imitate now also finding a toy cup and trying to drink from it... He learned to wave, say da-da very well (although he says it for everything), got better at NOT screaming as loud in restaurants, got his first hair cut, babbles a lot with many different sounds, shows his will more like crying when he doesn't get what he wants, understands "no" pretty well, loves to move his head and clap when he hears music and sing a bit too, and is in 12m clothes (Gymboree, Children's Place, and Gap otherwise 18m). He is trying to walk and bend down and grab things while standing (he can do this if holding onto something) and today he was practically running with his floaties on in the pool. He seemed to be able to walk so fast and even swam a bit. He still loves food, baths, cell phones, remotes, flip flops, looking out the window, walking around, kids, an audience, his crib (he turns his mobile on all by himself when he gets up in the morning, lol and makes for a nice wake up) OH and he gives the best hugs and will pat your back while he is hugging you, it is the cutest thing. A lot more wanted than his slobbery biting kisses hehe. The other day he would hug Eric, sit back look at him, then hug him again he did this about 10 times! Everyone that holds him loves his hugs. He gives you one then immediately wants to be facing outward! Well of course time is flying by I guess that is why we have to work hard to cherish every little moment and smile and all the things he sees and figures out for the first time. I love watching all his firsts it gives everything we do a reason. Life is great, we have God, love, baby, and puppies!
