Daddy and Eric on the pirate ship at Story Book Island in Rapid City South Dakota. We went there for 2 days 1 night the end of June for Family Camp. It was fun to see old friends from the Dakota District, shop, and eat at places we don't have here! We also got to see Heidi, Levi, London, Tanner, and Silas!

Ethan really tried hard to get smokey to drop the shovel. He pulled, yelled, hit, you name it but the dumb bear wouldn't let it go!

We bought our very first home! Here we are just after closing and getting to go in it as ours for the very first time!

Last picture of our old house... It was a good little thing, until we started getting too many people in the family! It has already sold!
Ethan playing in his favorite room of the new house. It is a sun room addition that holds all of his outdoor toys and his three dogs. It is a great place to get out energy with out misquotes, it stays cool, and I can here him while in the kitchen! It is about the size of a two car garage and the carpet is to die for!
Ethan zonked out after church and lunch on his daddy.
He still had his balloon from the restaurant tied to his Nuk.
Me 34 weeks 3 days pregnant.
After Eric tore out this useless cabinet that limited counter space and view the kitchen seems much bigger!
Mommy and Ethan taking a movie break with popcorn in our favorite spot. Ethan fell in love with the movie "Cars" and has watched it (or at least had it on) about 2 to 3 times a day! At least he chose a good movie that even entertains us... In the morning when he wakes up the first thing he says is "cars?" "cars!" "Please"
Ahh the impromptu kitchen renovation. It started with a cabinet, then a broken appliance, then having to tear out some cabinets, which brought down the wall paper, revealing a soffit with unpeelable wall paper resulting in new sheet rock... You get the picture. I used four gallons of puddy/spackle! IT was a fun 5 days with out a kitchen or air conditioning (that broke too). It would have been nice to wait a bit after moving in to tackle the project that is for sure.
Ethan had a GREAT time ripping out wall paper.

Luckly during renovation Emily decided to come visit for 3 weeks! She watched Ethan while we worked. He fell asleep watching Car's of course. She also helped paint the kitchen and Emma's room.
The kitchen when we were looking at buying the house. I am not sure how old the stove/oven was but it was ancient and ended up not working. The door is the pantry which I LOVE!

The kitchen after... Some day I want to paint the cabinets or get new ones, and change the flooring and countertops. Eric is going to build me a microwave cart to sit where the trash can is. It should free up counter space. Although so far I feel like I have a ton. This is stage one of course. We have a dishwasher to put in too...
