Emma pulled up right after we got our new windows installed. I guess she wanted to see what all the fuss was about and boy was she proud. That or she was just glad we could finally open a window and get some fresh air, thanks to screens! She only started crawling on all fours about a week ago. She had been getting around army style. She also is starting to cruise a bit. The best part is is that she isn't afraid to sit down from standing so she doesn't seem to be getting stuck!
It is hard to believe she is 11 months already. The biggest thing we have learned about her is that she loves action! She wants to ride on Ethan's Cars ATV all the time and will go down a slide no matter the size completely alone. You can't get her back up to the top fast enough! She also is crazy in the bathtub. She loves to splash, slide around, dunk her head, try and get drinks out of running water, and doesn't even mind when Ethan dumps water on her head!
Now that is the real story. She can keep up with Ethan and loves every minute of it. He can do a lot before she will cry that she has had enough. Fortunately we have taught him gentle hugs instead of the big ones he gives adults.
Ethan is actually quite cautious and always has been despite all the things he think up. I am a bit worried that he will think of the idea and Emma will be brave enough to attempt it. So far she doesn't seem too worried about trying new things. She just shimmies to the edge of things and all of the sudden will stand up or lunge forward or slide down.
It is sooooo cute to watch Ethan and Emma play together. They really interact now and are very entertaining. The other day Ethan had all his tools and was pretending to be the head guy while Emma was the assistant (usually his job). He would pretend to fix then grab a tool from Emma and say "Thank you, will you hold this please?" and give her the one he just had. Emma really enjoyed getting to have his tools.
Oh and Emma also got her two top teeth mostly in. She seems to be past the painful part at least.
Ethan was having some quite reading time and wasn't too thrilled with me wanting to take his picture!
